Welcome to Berry Patch Books!
Over the past few years, I have been very uncomfortable in my walk with God. It's not that I have lost any faith or trust in Him, instead, I could tell that I was being pushed to become very intentional about sharing my faith with others. Instead of sitting back and being very lazy about my faith, God has been pushing me to step up and proclaim His Glory and Honor.
Twenty years ago I was given the opportunity to attend a seminary and immerse myself in God's word every day, all day for a year. The program was a two year program and the seminary had been in operation for over twenty years. At the end of my first year, the administrators came in and said that after much prayer, the seminary was closing. This left me in an interesting position. My wife and I prayed about our future and it was decided to not continue at another seminary. Soon after this, I found myself back in secular life with a good job and starting a family. Life took over and I taught Sunday school classes and filled in only occasionally to preach.
Interestingly, I did have a couple of opportunities to preach full time, but did not seize those opportunities because I was to busy making money. Yes, secular life and having "stuff" took precedent over God and His work. Now, I believe that is changing. The past few years have seen me studying more and beginning to write. I want to share my thoughts and what I am finding in God's Message that is molding my life.
I have started a blog aptly titled "Seeking God's Message". Also, I have linked books on the Christian Books page that are now available on Amazon.
In the near future I hope to have my first self-written book available based on God's Message in the Book of Job. Along with the blog, there will soon be a page title "Devotions" which will be based upon a short inspirational message.
Sign up below to be notified when these new exciting changes are available. We will then also notify you when a new book, blog or devotion is available.
